Turbo rebuild?

I changed the oil today and noticed that the turbo was leaking oil on the inside. Is there a rebuild kit for my turbo and how hard will it be? Should i have someone else do it? Its the stock turbo. hx 35 i think. Any help is great. Thanks guys

How much oil is in it? It is normal to see a small amount of oil in the turbo. some comes from the crankcase breather and the turbo seals weep a small amount so if it is only a small amount it can probably be ignored. If it is a larger amount it is time to rebuild it. If you are handy you can probably do most of the work but you have to be careful not to damage the turbine blades.

it wasnt alot. i wiped the inside a couple of times with some paper towels and it was all gone. The truck has 156,000 miles so i figured it was getting time to rebuild it anyway.

We have a 92 with 1.3 million miles and the turbo hasn't been touched. If it aint broke don't fix it.
