F350 7.3 smelling Rich

Hello all,
My 02 SD 7.3 has 197K on it and runs good but smells rich when its ideling, especially after a long haul. I get 14.3 on the highway and I am wondering if I need to adjust something or are the injectors worn? what else could it be?? Any ideas would be appreciated. :s:

Dirty air filter, dirty fuel filter, bad fuel, or worse case injectors or poor compression. When was the last time you changed the air and fuel filters??

My '97 F350 PSD, when I still owned it (recently sold) got 14.3 MPG mixed driving...that is some highway but mostly short hops around town. Something wrong with the same mileage strictly highway driving, unless you're pushing the s--t out of it.

I have changed everything recently, this truck is my baby and I am on top of the maintenance always. I use a "scan guage" and drive it on the highway using the cruise control mostly. On my most recent trip (Texas=3600 round trip) I got 14.7 and didnt go over 2200rpm/ 78 mph (to conserve fuel). But I still get that rich smell. I also use fuel additives every 5th tank or so, Marvelous Mystery oil to be exact. with a fill up.

Probably got bad injectors.
