Need a little help again please!!

So i just got my tranny rebuilt because it would shutter really bad at take off and pulling heavy would noteven go cause torque convertor was shot. But now i was pulling my job trailer 8.5'X24' weighs about 8,000 -9,000 and when i take off under decent acceleration had a shutter for about 2-3 seconds? could this be a bad u-joint? i have not noticed it without a load on it but just a little curious or could something still not be right in the tranny. They built my tranny up with new convertor(heavy duty),input shafts, clutches, bands etc. everything is new and heavy duty as they said. I thought u-joints would squeak or do it all the time but i was also told it could be a bad hanger bearing too? any help or ideas would be appreciated thanks in advance!
:argh:

I dought its a U joint........I would crawl under there and make damn sure all the mounting bolts are tight.......check the driveline and carrier while yer under there.....I dunno:humm:

kinda sounds like a convertor shudder dont it. does it do it mainly in the higher gears pulling hard.

no it only does it on take off for about 2-3seconds and only under a load. like i said i just got a $5000 tranny put in it and i hope its not torque convertor.it does not do it any other time just when pulling my trailers?

I have a friend with a dodge motor home that has the same problem and he tracked it to spring wrap under hard pulling. It only does it from a standstill at full throttle until he is going between 5 and 10 miles per hour and is worse when he is towing something. You might check that as a possibility.

Check the carrier bearing, and also, pull a string from the rear end to the rear of the transfer case and see if the drive line is straight. If the carrier is kicked over then you can have a vibration like what you describe.

k thanks we will be doing that tonight i will let you guys know. so if the carrier is kicked over do i just need to replace it or can i just move it?and no to sound like an idiot but what is springwrap?

Asking helps you learn. It is the rear leaf springs wrapping and letting the rear end twist out of line with the drive shaft. After they twist so far the spring tension twists the diff back in line and it will set up an oscillation. On race cars and high performance street cars they put traction bars to fight it.

so if thats what it is how do i actually tell if thats what it is and whats a good fix for it. I tow heavy quite a bit so i really dont want traction bars do I. When i went to work this morning i was empty with no trailer and put it to the floor all it did was break the rears loose and no shutter
