Wastegate????
I have a 2000 Ford F250 7.3. Every morning when its below 40 degrees all night my truck makes a terrible racket while it warms up. Sounds like the wastegate is opening and closing. The sound is constant and regular pattern. It also continues when driving for a quite a while. This is after a 20 minute warmup in the driveway. when it happens while driving it does affect power. Not only is this aggrevating but I have a 6inch straight pipe exhaust so it is LOUD!!! What can I do to stop this from happening. I live in NC so coldest is usually in the teens and the truck is plugged up under 35 degrees. Any help would be great. Thanks

No CEL or codes?? Does it fire right up, or does it seem to want to crank over a bit??
