overdrive....
My truck has been going in and out of overdrive for a while now. Cleaned batter cables and it helped. Now a few months later i am having the same problem. Cleaning the cables didn't help this time. Any ideas? Is there anything to check a/o adjust before replacing any parts? :argh:

In a few earlier posts other people with dodge trucks have had similar symptoms and have had to replace the battery to correct it. The electronics on it are very sensitive to voltage and a battery that otherwise seems good might be marginal enough to lower the voltage and cause shift problems. You might also check the charging system to make sure it is putting out properly.
