white smoke again

ok back in june i had that white smoke issue, changed the piston rings out and that solved the majority of the problem. it smokes white still but just a fraction of what it did last time. it only does it in the mornings or if it sits for more than a few days. i noticed that it only smokes white when the wate to start line doent come on. i know the light is the grid heater. is that also have the fuel heater as well. my thought is that since it doesnt smoke when the grid heater cycles, i would like to wire them up to a push button switch so i can run the heater every time i start the truck?

Sounds sensible to me.

im mean its not enough to really worry about i mean a slight fraction of what it was, but if i could get the grids to cylce every time i start it it would solve my probblem, be nice in winter to get it to warm up faster

could the fuel heater be the culprate here. isnt the grid heater and fuel heater wired to come on together

have you tried the relays for the grid heater they seem to be kinda bad about goin out....that's what it sounds like to me with the light not coming on

no the grid heater works and evrything most mornings it aint cold enough for it to even come on but it does work, i just want to be able to cylce them longer and more often. i reley belive it has to be a fuel issue becuase when it does cyke it aint near as bad, im just wondering if the fuel heater comes on with the grid heater

Ever though that it could be poor fuel or possibly the injectors??
