6.5 clutch

i have 98 chevy with a 6.5 diesel in it. I believe my slave cylinder went out or my clutch i'm not sure. any suggestions it will not go into gear. it started slipping and then it was nothing.

Have someone push the petal while you watch on bottom. If it doesn't move at all, could be bad hydrolics. If it was slipping before all heck broke loose, sounds like your clutch failed. Had one go on a dodge that welded itself together. No big bang, no noise, just failed. Had to float her for 100 miles to get fixed, not fun. Just a thought, check under the drivers floor mat. Most of the time when they fail up top, there is a wet spot where it has leaked.

Does it even try to grab with it in gear?? If you can't get it in gear with the pedal pushed in, slave cylinder is shot/low on fluid. Otherwise, need a new clutch.

Since no updates in a long time, I'm going to assume this is a fixed problem and am closing the thread. If need be, this thread can be reopened. :ok1:
