I LOVE MY TRK BUT IT WONT START FOR ME ANYMORE. DOES IT HATE ME?
I WAS HEADIN UP 4 A SNOWBOARD TRIP. MY TRUCK SUDDENLY STARTED LOSING POWER AND STALLED OUT. IT RAN FINE BEFORE. I HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT THE MOTOR HISTORY BUT I KNOW ITS HAD SOME STUFF DONE. I GOT THE TRUCK FOR 600 AND IT RAN JUST FINE. I GET FUEL TO EVERYWHERE EXEPT WHERE THE 8 LINES COME FROM THE IP. I AM NOT AT ALL FAMILIAR WITH THESE PART NAMES OR LOCATIONS SO ANY PICS WILL HELP GREATLY. I THINK ITS SOMETHIN WITH THE IP. CAN IT JUST QUIT LIKE THAT? I ALSO HAVE OLD DRY ROTTED RUBBR TUBING THAT I HAVE NO CLUE WHERE IT GOES. I NEED SOME DIAGRAMS AND/ OR HELP!! PLEASE. I WANT TO LEARN ALL I CAN ABOUT THIS ENGINE. I LOVE IT(WHEN IT WRKS):bat:

I dont know anything about Chevys but having fuel at the inlet of the injector pump and none on the outlet is a strong indicator that the injector pump is shot.

got a pic of this rotted out hose? fuel filter clean?

another stupid thing to check is some 6.2`s have a 2nd fuel filter under the rear of the air cleaner. if it has one it probably has never been replaced. and clogged. just lift the aircleaner housing off and check.. threw me and a buddy for loops for 2 days while it was parked a mile away from home !!!

Check the 2 wires going to the top of the pump to see if they have power. Also, see if the solenoids click if you touch the terminals with a live wire. Most of the time, you have to jump a wire from the fuel cutoff terminal to the fuel check terminal.
