If you take the slave cylinder off the tranny, you can stroke it in and out which will help. Then you'll have to pump the clutch A LOT to get the air out. It's a PITA.

The best way would be to find a vaccum pump and drill and tap your cap for a fitting and then pull a vaccum on the system. I'm currently coping with this problem as well. I
ll let you know if I come up with something that works better.

When I replaced mine I ran into the same thing and pumped the clutch alot!! It worked though. :U:

Any chance of loosening the line at the clutch end to bleed it off?? Granted it's going to take an extra pair of shoes to accomplish the task.

Normally the clutch hydraulics are replaced as a unit, they come complete and pre filled and bled. The only way to bleed them that I am aware of is to remove the slave (push out roll pin, remove tube), prefill the slave and bleed by GENTLY moving SHORT strokes until there is no air bubbles. Next, get a can or drip pan and have some one fill the reservior on the master and keep it full untill no mor air comes out the bottom into the drip pan. Now, while keeping the master full you need to attach your bled slave and reinstall the roll pin.

Next, you need to SLOWLY cycle the slave with your hand to pump the air out of the system to the slave reservior. This will take some time to do.

So from the factory the whole system is sealed and not serviceable and replaced as a whole, master cyl, slave cyl, hydraulic line and clutch switch.:argh: I had to remove the slave cyl fish it around so the line went straight up, no where for air pockets to sit and let it sit over night. Then pumped the slave cyl and I finely got it working. I hate dodge:madd:

Any updates??

well. I don't know about him but I tried the above^ and it worked pretty good. Except I didn't have time to let it sit overnight so I pulled a vaccum on it for 25 mins. Pumped the slave a few times and it seems to be working alright now.
