99 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 ABS & Brake lights

I have a 99 Dodge Ram 4x4 2500 w/ cummins.
My ABS and brake lights come on when I push the brakes hard.

RE

I sorry I didn't explain good enough.
The amber ABS light and the red BRAKE warning light in the instrument panel come on and stay on when you push the brake pedal hard. They go back off when you shut off the truck but come right back on when you push the pedal hard again. thanks

Is it still drivable?

I had those symptoms, but my problem was a blown brake line at the right front caliper.

I was blowing brake fluid all over the place. If your not loosing fluid, My (guess) is electronics.

Sorry I can't be of more help, I'm no expert, just go from experience is all.. Good luck..

Theres a possibility that you have a collapsed brake hose. If thats the case, you will usually find a stuck caliper.

Notice any funny braking?

Brakes work fine and I drive it every day.

ABS sensor ????

Any codes set?

jeepdude 10-26-2008 12:12 PM

I tried the rear differential abs sensor and it didn't help.
I'm not sure how to get the codes without going to the dealer?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

It doesn't have front Abs sensors.

You should be able to go to Autozone and use their scanner if you dont have one. You should think about getting an OBDII scanner for yourself.

Fixed

My rear brake auto adjusters were froze up not allowing adjusters to work and the rear brake cylinders were stroking too far causing the lights to come on.
