Vehicle Speed Sensor question

Have a 92 Dodge D-250 Truck. Had VSS replaced 9-06. Had it replaced 4-08. Took back in Friday and they replaced it yet again. The dealer mechanic says they checked all electrical and the main board and all is fine. When dropped off on Friday took through car wash to demonstrate symptoms. Drove out of car wash alternator gauge and speedometer gauge was bouncing all over. If the cruise control works the overdrive works. Cruise control pretty much stopped working and so did overdrive. This usually occurs when it rains, or you go thru a carwash. Will be picking it up tomorrow. Any suggestions as to what is eating up the VSS's would be appreciated.

Sounds like they need to design them better as far as waterproofing the connection. Like Whitmore said, contact cleaner, then dielectric grease.

Hey just like they said but if you want to be extra save i would wrap the connection with some electrical tape when its all back together.
