F350 Shuts with oil light showing

Hello,

I have a 2010 F350 Super Duty with a 6.4L diesel motor. I just recently experienced two instances where my truck randomly shut down while driving. When it happened, I had been driving it for about 15 to 20 minutes or so, and when the engine shut down, the oil light illuminated immediately. The first time it happened, I happen to be entering a shopping mall and I was able to coast in and park. The second time I was picking my daughter up from daycare and I had to pull of to the side of the road in the middle of heavy traffic and park. Both times I was able to get it to restart the engine again after letting it sit for about 2 hours or so.

I have done some extensive reading on what it may be and at the point I desperately need some professional guidance on what to look for. I have reason to believe it’s related to oil pressure or maybe a temperature senor of some kind. I just purchased the AutoEnginuity with Ford Enhanced package and have been doing what I can to read failure codes and watch various system monitoring. Any guidance on diagnosing this problem at this point would be greatly appreciated.
