NEW Engine, Wont Start Air Locked?
Hello guys,
I recently installed a new 6.4 and it will NOT start. I replaced the longblock, new inector lines and high pressure pump, cleaned injectors and so on. When i crank it over it builds pressure from 300-900 psi. I bled air out at the fuel cooler when i first crank the truck it will build up to 900psi then drop off and stay steady at 3-500psi It tires to fire, im getting white smoke out of the tail pipe as a last ditch effort i loosened and bled the two lines that go into the heads. got some more air out only code is low cranking pressure then called it quits last night ANY HELP? keep cranking till she fires? |
keep bleeding out the air as best as you can....keep a charger on your batts. and dont forget to let your starter rest....scott:humm:

J Johnson is correct, keep bleeding out the air till it start, just be careful not to burn the starter.
