OM617 IP air locked?
 
Some quick back story, used Mercedes OM617, transplanted in a Jeep. Project has taken about a year, year and a half, have the motor in the jeep fueled up oiled up etc. Been trying to start it up. Pump the primer, have fuel in the filters, and can see it flowing back thru the return line. I let the glow plugs warm up and crank it and it seems to get fuel to only one cylinder. I have cracked the fuel lines and cranked it till the battery starts to slow down, still no fuel to the first three injectors. I pulled the fuel lines on the first three cylinders and there is no fuel there. charge the battery crank some more, same result. Warm up the glow plugs, and again get firing on one cylinder. Am I just not getting all of the air out of the IP/fuel lines? How can I tell if there is a problem with the IP? Really need some expert advice.

sounds to me like the ip is stuck closed on the first three injectors...prob going to need a rebuild from sitting so long....scott:humm:
