Wrench light
:scare2: 07, F350 SD 6.0 turbo diesel just turned 300K:argh:
I was just about to cross the Florida Georgia line when the wrench light came on. I stopped at the welcome center and started checking things out. manual says its the throttle control sensor, limp home mode. Get it to a for d dealer asap, as if. Called my nephew and talked through several options. Disconnected power and it cleared the wrench. Still hasn't come back. Service engine light is on, I do need to get that code read, but not possible at this time on a Sunday evening. The problem that this has left me with is; my fuel consumption has bottomed out. Burned over half a tank in 101 miles. Throttle reaction is good, only had one noticeable "chug" episode when I had to slow down significantly for a weigh station. Idles well, nothing noticeable there either. I have been told clogged filter. Sensor itself. Even a bad glow plug or two. Can I et some help? Thanks |
