6.9 Hard Start Wont stay running
 

Just Bought the 87 F250 2wd 6.9 a week ago for $500 ran great for 2 days now its hard to start, 3 or 4 tries pedal floored at 30-45sec a try and it will finally start. If I keep it floored it will eventually stay running at idle but after a rev or a drive down the road it dies at idle and is hard to start. I'm new to diesels but have built and repaired a few gas motors. New Glow Plugs,fuel filter

sounds like not enough fuel...think mechanical fuel pump took a dump...located on the pass side up front near oil pan ...scott
