08' cummins won't start
I have an 08' dodge 3500 and back in Jan. my serphantine belt split in two and one half wrapped around the crank pully. I did not realize it at first. I replaced the belt but the truck would not start, being below zero at the time I just figured it was because of the temp outside. Prior to this I drove the truck daily without having to worry about using #1 fuel or additives and will use an additive before the over priced and poor #1 fuel. So being cold out I thought I had my first gell up so I replaced the fuel filter and the fuel was fine in the filter anyways. I then though the lines were gelled so to test I sprayed either in the air cleaner and it started right up and stayed running. After a half hour or so I shut it off and tried to start it again and it wouldn't without either. I then parked it till recently and since the weather is nice now and it still won't start without help. I did find that when the belt split it wore into the crank positioning sensor so I replaced it and that still did not help.
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Anyone have any ideas on what I should check or do? Would would the throttle control sensor do this? Help thanks! ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Anyone have this sort of problem before, help will be appreciated? Thanks |
