Pump went out help please!
 

No fuel Is being pushed to the filter housing so I've narrowed it down to the fuel pump would anyone happen to know if it's an in tank fuel pump? I drive a 2001 cummins 5.9 help would be greatly appreciated!

Your fuel pump is behind the gear housing on the driver side, you can follow the injection lines right to it, you have a vp style pump, these are known for going bad becasue of a faulty lift pump (also on driver side but more the back and lower part of the block.

your pump may be ok and your lift pump is bad.

follow the fuel line from the filter to the lift pump.

there is no fuel pump in the tank.
