7.3 engine shutters when driving

Sorry I'm new to this posting. I have a early 99 f250 7.3 with a zf6. It has 265k and runs pretty good but every once in awhile when driving it stalls. It seems a direct short but I have the clips in the injector harness but don't know to ohm the main engine connection or the valve cover harness. Thanks

Possibly a cps? They have a bad habit of going bad in these 7.3s

Thanks a lot I just replaced cps and icp under a year ago. If I unplug the cps and run in safe mod will that tell if that's the problem?

Most 7.3 guys have a spare cps in the glove box, they have habit of leaving guys stranded, i dont know if you should unplug it and run it, i know if you do that with the icp it will shift hard but no clue what it will do with the cps. mine actually just stalled on me tonight as i got home put her in park, i need to get to the ford place and get it before it leaves me stranded. Other symptoms are almost like the engine chokes or hicups for a quick second while driving, but then corrects its self. It has stalled ob me a total of 3 times in 3 weeks, 2 times while backing out of the driveway, and then tonight when i got home. Then it does the choking once in awhile aeound 10 mph, and then sme times around 45 to 50
