2004 cummins issues after changing lift pump

I have a 2004 CTD six sp. 2500. 77000 miles, bone stock. After a gelling issue, i put it in my shop overnight with the heat on and a healthy dose od PS diesel 911 in the tank and filter housing. In the morning i ran diagnostic. Threw codes p 0628, p 0483, p 2509. Figured out lift pump not cycling. ( behind filter housing, not in the tank) change pump and it cycled fine. Primed filter and ( I hope this wasnt a mistake) cracked open and bled the top center of the rail and injector 1 out of experience with a gen 1. The truck will only fire and run for about 30 seconds and die. Repeat, repeat, repeat. I also noticed fuel seeping out the top of the tank assembly and oozing down the side. I am thinking i am either experiencing a pressure loss or fuel is back feeding to the tank. I pulled the battery terminals to reset the codes, touched cables to drain residual current and let set for 30 minutes but the same 3 codes are still popping. I had some corrosion on the neg. Terminals I cleaned, ( p 2509) and I have no idea why my fan clutch would play into this but p 0628 still popping must have something to do with it. Any thoughts?
