I WILL be specific!
2006 Ford 6.0 176,00 mi.
The following have been replaced in the last 50K mi. : Oil cooler, HP oil Pump, all injectors, HP fuel rail plugs, EGR W/Bypass. Grey smoke and rough idle. Heavy black smoke on acceleration, with no apparent power loss. Knocks under heavy load. 1 gallon approx. more oil than max. (I did not do the oil change!) Anyone? |
first question. did you drain the extra gallon out? 1 quart over isnt very good, much less 1 gallon!! :scare2:
|
yes. No change.
|
did the same guys that overfilled your truck by 1 gallon install the oil cooler, HPOP, injectors, and all that? :humm:
:scare2::scare2::scare2::scare2::scare2::scare2: ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- please say they didnt! |
lollollollollollollollollollol
NO! |
i was going to say theres your problem :humm:
i hope someone else jumps in here that knows a thing or 2 more than i do.. been chasing my tail for 3 months now on yet another problem with my 2003 6.0.. :c: |
My mechanic can changed the Oil Cooler out in 1.5 hrs. He is top notch. He worked for Ford Fleet on nothing but the 6.0, but he is unavailable at present. :-(
|
wish you the best of luck figuring out the problem man! :tu:
