94 F-250 7.3 IDI Crank No Start

So let me preface this thread by saying that I am a newbie in the diesel world. A little history to the problem: I drove my truck to the house with no problems, loaded it up ( moving family ), got back in and all it did was "click", went to the store in the other vehicle and bought a starter and relay, put those in (had a minor spark issue "disconnect battery dummy"). Got back in and now all it does is crank (really well mind you). Getting little to no smoke out of the tailpipe. Will start and run on ether. If I shut it down and then try to restart immediately it will, however if it sits for more than 10 minutes it will have the same no start problem. I can assume at this point that it is fuel related but, like I said I am new to the diesel world. I have read in other threads about a "weak" Injector pump and found out that they are VERY expensive, can they be rebuilt? Any help would be appreciated. Since all of above has happened. I have found a fuel leak at the connector between the main fuel feed line and the IP. Hoping a new line will fix it. If not I will post to this thread. On a separate note, what would cause the WTS (Wait to Start) light to just suddenly not work the way it was before? What I mean by before is that it would come on for 10-15 seconds then go out. Now all it does is blink / flash once.

1: If the "wait to start" light is blinking at you you have a problem with your glow plugs, either the relay/controller went bad or you have a number of bad glow plugs, third option is bad wiring but lets just hope that's not it... could be that the starting issue is just the glow plugs...

2: It sounds like you have fuel issue as well, low pressure to the Injection pump, your leaky hose could be the culprit. or its the injection pump itself, though expensive its not horrible, and i do believe they can be rebuilt, but its easier to buy a rebuilt one, rather than do it yourself. Could also be the lift/transfer pump, (94 maybe electric)

3: Starting fluid is evil stuff in glow plug engines. If your using it make sure you wait until the glow plugs are done cycling and have cooled a bit (turn the key on and wait a few minutes until you stop hearing clicking noises and then wait some more) and then spray the ether into the air cleaner while cranking the engine, use the starter solenoid, and a screwdriver (one more reason I love furds)
