7.3 IPR failure?

I am a long time lurker and first time poster, I just wanted to say thank you for all of the previous information that you guys have provided in the past and hopefully you can help me on this one.

So........ 2002 7.3 Powerstroke, stock work truck. 244k miles. New fuel pump, fuel filter, cps sensor.

It died on me this morning a block from my house, pulled it home, checked HPOP level it was pretty empty, filled it up, still no start.

I unplugged the ICP sensor, it started right up, went for test drive, she ran awesome, then a mile away she died again. Towed it back again, I checked the level in the HPOP it was down about 1.5 to 2 inches again.

Does this mean that the IPR is bad also? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Adam

Sounds like it could be ipr to me.

I replaced the icp today. It was bad - oil in the plug. Checked the level of the Hpop again it is now down 4 to 5 inch, so there is a slow leak.

Any ideas? IPR? I am going to remove and clean the check valve today and check it again tomorrow.
