01 7.3l major issue

ok guys im working on an 01 7.3l powerstroke im doing new injector sleeves. i drained the oil and noticed an issue but wasnt allarmed yet i have a 10 quart oil pan and it only filled 3/4 and these trucks useually hold 15quart i got the driver bank all done with no issues but when i yanked the passenger rearmost injector the hole filled completly up with oil then drained into the cylander has anyone ran into this or know what could be wrong?

When I change injectors, I pull the two back injectors first... Let them fill up with the oil that is in the oil galleys and then do the swap. Once all the new injectors are in, I pull the glow plugs and crank the truck to shoot the oil out of the glow plug port...

In your case, it is basically the same thing...

You could also get a turkey baster and a little bit of hose to suck out the oil in the cylinder.
