Sounds like its loosing prime.do you have a fuel preasure gauge to see what its running? If not get one to help you diagnose. Any codes? Sounds like air is getting into system somehow.

No I don't have a gauge but when it is running it runs fine with no hesatation if it was loosing prime wouldn't that effect the way it runs? I don't know this is my first diesel truck ever.

And not nesacarily when the trucks running its pulling full from the tank with the pump on.when the truck sits pump isn't running which could cause it to loss pressure. When you changed the LP did u re prime system?

Did the issue start shortly after the LP replacement, or later on?

There is a banjo bolt on the back of the head. It is common to come loose and make for hard starts. Fuel won't come out, but air will leak in. 17mm, and tricky to get to.

Coryellis 12-03-2012 11:50 PM

Do u think it needs new bango bolt an washers or just tightend?

99% of the time a tightening gets the job done. Otherwise new washers takes care of it, if it is leaking.
