Blown stock turbo

Hello to all. Today I blew my turbo I bought the truck a week ago it had some issues so I got it for a good price and dropped it off at my local diesel shop and had them sort things out . I got the truck back yesterday newly equipped with 150hp injectors, bullydog GT, ARP bolts and an air dog fuel system. They advised that the stock turbo could handle it but it will shorten the lifespan of the turbo in the long run. Today I finally decided to floor it to see how things felt and I got some crazy noises from the engine bay, I let off pedal and got the sounds of nails on a chalk board. I cruised back home let it cool down and then removed the air tube and sure-nuff there is some serious shaft play. I am new to the turbo diesel world so I need some help to find out what is the most affordable option I can go with on replacing my turbo with one that can reliably handle the mods I have so far as soon as possible. I apologize for my ignorance on the topic but I am not familiar enough with the terminology to even know what to search and I would like to gather some opinions and info before I go back to the shop on monday, so I don't get sold (again) on the wrong option. Thank you all in advance!

Outcast, on 03-04, the turbo is an HE341 I believe and can deliver around 26-28 psi effectively. 2004.5-2007 had the HE351 which can deliver 35-40 pis effectively and efficiently. You would need to replace/upgrade the elbow and can place it just about anywhere in the compressor cover. The HE351 has an electronic wastegate while the older HE341 is mechanical. ATS has a wastegate solenoid plug that helps assure that the boost won't get past the solenoid. It is a relatively cheap upgrade and is a direct swap from the HE341 to the HE351. If your replacing the turbo wouldnt hurt to upgrade a bit. Before buying the turbo at full price check out some classifieds or cruise ebay to see if there are any for sale.
