NOOB from ND
Hi All, Dave from ND here. I just got rid of my 01 powerstroke and bought a 07 Ram Cummins. Looking forward to checking out all the forum has available. :-)

Thanks guys. My F250 was an ex cab shortbox, so I'm getting use to the long wheelbase in parking lots. :D I love the truck so far, it's bone stock but I'm working on a list of mods I want to do.

I'm 108 miles into my first tank of fuel with the cummins, mostly driving in town but a couple short stints out on the freeway. My MPG meter says 20.6 mpg right now. :jump: How accurate are the meters in these things usually? Man, my 7.3 would usually get 14-15 mpg doing the same type of driving, if I'm getting close to 20 now I'm going to dance a jig!

Those milage meters are generally pretty suspect, you'll want to recheck you fuel economy when you fill it up. Make sure to top it off slowly to allow any foamed fuel to settle, then divide miles driven by gallons added. I generally reset the trip odometer each time I fill up, if you're using that for something else, write it down in a logbook, along with gallons added at that time.:tu:

Yep, I'm definitely going to check the actual mileage once I have to fill it up. I'm using the odo specifically for that.
Does anyone know why it still shows that I have zero posts? :w2: |
