I have been a powerstroke user sense 1995. My first truck was 1995 ford f250. I put 840,000 miles on it. For the last 50,000 miles or so I was getting diesel in the oil.
My next truck was a 1999 ford powerstroke. It had a manual transmittion with more problems that I could handle. The input shaft kept trying to break. I put less than 200,000 miles on it when I traded it in on a 2000 powerstroke.
My wife went with me and we team drove for about 6 years. It was a regular cab and I stretched the frame out 6 and1/2 feet and built a sleeper on it. The first engine went about 750,000 miles in it when I replaced it It souded like it had a few valves sticking. The next engine went about 400,000 plus miles on it. I changed all the injectors in it. In the process I took all the glow plugs out and tried to turn the motor over to get the oil off the top of the pistons. I just hit the switch and it seamed to turn over 2 or 3 times and some thing went crunch inside. Well I got the motor to run for about a second at a time because I kept filling the high pressure oil pump. The next engine had about 40,000 on it when I bought it. I put over 800,000 on it. The truck had 199.890 miles on it when I found my present truck,2001 ford f250. I went thru 3 engines, 7 transmittions and 3 differentials. This new truck had 150,000 miles on it.
I've got 540,000 miles on this new truck. I put on a new transmittions shortly after I bought it. I went thru most of the miles untill recently with no problems. When they get a lot of miles on them they will not start when cold. Cold is about 50 degrees.
We delivered rv trailers all over north america.

With all those miles, did you ever keep track of a fuel bill:humm:
