code 21 on a Duramax chevey 6.2 1500

Need some help please, have a code 21 showing up on my 89 sliverado 6.2 diesle? Cant seem to find any information on this code. Service soon light will come on when truck reaches operating temp? I fell/hear no effect when light comes on. truck runs great! Thank you all, Rick
