bad anti freeze leak

its coming out of the front of the motor. im thinking the water pump. any ideas?

pressure test cooling system ,power strokes like to eat up water pumps, only replace with new ones not reman ones, also if water pump is leaking upon pressure test, and you remove water pump for replacement inspect the timing cover closely as a cavitating pump can errode the front cover this is a famous problem

I would check the pump, I am on number three. I would suggest changing the fan clutch also, many will disagree but it will save you some grief. Or just go with an external fan, which is my next project.

auto zone makes a great pump it is a airtex new unit ,it also comes with a million mile warranty and a design change to the lower hose pipe asy,,,,,yes fan clutches are a number one killer of water pump front bearing failure also installing a 180f t-stat works wonders,,,,,a electric fan will never have the cfm air flow that the stock fan asy can produce,,,or it would of came that way from the factory:tu::tu:

I am looking at 6000cfm fan, I am still doing my research, but it looks like mounted right next to the radiator it might do the job. I haven't used the airtex yet, I am getting leary of anything but a motorcraft pump. They are more money, but I a tired of running through the others. My last non-motorcraft only lasted 1 year. Granted it may have been the clutch, but I am not taking anymore chances. Also, I just learned a lesson the hard way, but if you have an older plastic radiator, change it also. It will save you having to do it down the road.

i thought motorcraft water pumps from ford were all reman pumps///fan clutch can be a issue ,replace the radiator and thrbat

Not pushing this site at all, but here is a NEW Motorcraft for $274, I am sure there are more places to find them though.
