New guy to diesel bomber with LB7 duramax
 

Hey folks,
I am new to diesel bombers, but not new to diesels. Grew up on the VW diesels in the 80s, also had a gm 6.5 at one point. Bought this 2001 LB7 new, had the injectors replaced under warranty at 60k 2003, now at 145k I need them again, and as we all know, they are out of warranty. I almost had a weak moment and traded it in on a new 6.0 gasser, but diesel buddies (all ford diesel nuts) convinced me that we can and need to tear into this duramax and git er fixed! So the weather Up here in AK is below zero, so we are gathering info to fix this sick duramax. It's still running ok right now, but I got a fair amount of haze, and my flow rates on the injectors are all over the place. So I got a little time but not much. We are looking to make this a better than stock truck again, but reliability is the #1goal, fuel economy is second, then we got to have some power!!!! So any advice chime in! When I am done ill post how it went!
