Default Introducing:

I'm a senior in High School.

I've had this truck for 3 years now, but never came across any issues I had to refer to the interwebs to figure out. Then, the truck broke, I bought my Jeep, I never looked back. Anywho, I figure that since the truck's a bit unsellable in the shape it's in (Rough) and I'm kind of attached to it anyways, I may as well do a cheapo resto and call it cool.

The truck is an 86 ranger with a 2.3 liter Mitsubishi turbodiesel, 5 speed, 2wd. I stopped driving it almost exactly a year ago because of a leaky fuel injector pump. We took the pump off and kind of determined that it wasn't worth fixing/rebuilding/replacing (From what I've read it's pricey to say the least) and put it back on. This is where things really go wrong. The truck now will not start. It comes very close, blows smoke, maybe turns over once, and then nothing. The glow plugs worked before the pump was taken off, but could this be the issue?

Anyways, thanks for looking, and I look forward to becoming a part of the forum, I've heard lots of good things!
