Diesel Bombers - WY newbie

Hi all,:hellox: new guy here. I live in Cody WY and I own a beat to heck 97 Dodge with a Cummins.

I basically plan at some point in pulling the drivetrain and scrapping the rest of the truck, and then putting the engine and possibly a Fuller trans into an older truck (68-72 Chevy or an older Dodge). The truck has an AT in it now that isn't very good, which is why I was thinking Fuller trans.
I love doing swaps and fabricating and I know there are a lot of people that would tell me I'm crazy and that's it's a waste of time/money to put the Cummins in an older truck, but hey I'm not doing it to make money on it, I'm doing it to test/hone my fab skills and just to do something different.
I'll be doing a lot of research here and I will likely be asking a lot of stupid questions so please be patient with me.
