New to the diesel world
Hey I'm Spence. I just bought a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500, SLT, 4X4, Quad Cab, 5.9 Cummins with an automatic trans. I have a couple of questions.
1. My truck has 43K onit and I want it to last forever. I plan to tow a 5th wheel max weight about 15,000 lbs, but mosting (70%) driving empty. What are your ideas and experience for getting the best fuel mileage? 2. What kind of air cleaners / filters are the best? I've used K&N, but also thought about Injen/AMSOIL Diesel Air Intake Systems. AMSOIL has a Ea Air Induction Filters (EaAU). Has anyone used it? 3. I'm a AMSOIL perferred customer and plan on using there products in everything. Anyone have any experience using AMSOIL Synthetics in their diesel truck? Also plan on replacing all the other fluids and using AMSOIL as the Gear Lub, Auto Transmission, etc. What are your thoughts. Anyone have any better ideas? Thanks:jump: |
