hello
Hello y'all!! I just recently purchased a 2004 chevy duramax 2500. I've always wanted a diesel but now I had an excuse to get one I bought a toy hauled camper. The truck I bought is in good condition and I love it. I don't know to much about diesels so I apologize. Ill get there. My truck has alot of aftermarket parts mostly from ats, is that a bad thing. I keep hearing different things. Of course all the old school guys say all the stuff sucks and it will blow up the truck. Then you hear good things too. Looking toward to hearig all your input thanks.

Re: hello
Is it the lb7 or the lly? If its the lb7 make sure to keep your fuel very clean to make the injectors happy, and welcome!

the lly
I am 98% sure it is the lly. So that must be a good thing. It also has ats 100 hp injectors in it . Is there anything I should watch out for there.

the lb7 is an awesome engine just has injector issues. most duramax injectors are % above stock not in hp ratings just so you know. and i have heard that larger injectors with an out of the box programmer ie edge ppe etc. will cause issues with high egt's and such. other than that just watch your temps and boost level and have fun with it

Just watch your egts bro espesially when you are towing up the mountains.that's when that co pilot will come in handy
