New to the site

Hello. I stumbled on this site looking for some info on 95 cummins and biodiesel. It's my uncles truck and we are going to start making our own biodiesel. If you hadn't figured it out I have a PSD not a CTD. I live in central Washington. My name is Matt. If you feel like bestowing your knowledge about biodiesel, 95 dodges, 2000 fords or anything else send a pm or email. I am looking to learn all I can in the next few months about BioD production.

I don't have any real mods to speak of. I traded my 03'ranger plus some cash for this f350 psd(117k miles). I removed the k&n and put a big paper/dry filter on it from napa. Both power locks were broke so I fixed those for zero dollars and some zip ties. I changed the oil, fuel filter, fuel bowl orings, both batteries, ball joints, shocks, steering stabilizer and added warn premium hubs. That's about it so far. I mainly use the truck for my camper and boat. Not much winter use this year as my crx get far better mileage.

I have a vacuum leak and one of my hubs was broke so I got the warns. I had a decent sway/ drift when I got the truck and found the ball joints were bad. Oh the drag link is all new too. Les schwab wanted $1600 to replace ball joints, tie rod ends and drag link ends and shocks I think. I did all of it plus hubs for less than half. Was a real pita as I'm not much of a mechanic. But it's all done now.

I would like to put a coolant bypass filter on it soon, and eventually an oil bypass, bed liner, frame mounted camper tie downs, bigger exhaust and a few other things. I'm sure I have gone on too long by now so I'll stop.

Looking forward to being a part of this community.

Hey! I brew my own biodiesel! Not an easy process! I have experienced the worst and the best of biodiesel! I have plenty of info for you! You can search our alternative fuels section, or post your own thread.

Pretty close actually, Yakima :-) make it over here often?

Hey Rustin, we are going to start making small 1 litre batches here pretty soon so I'm sure I'll be askin lots of questions. Most likely why my biodiesel doesn't look right :-)
I don't have a wvo source yet or a setup so we are just gonna get the steps down and go from there.
