A friend of mine from my Jeep board invited me to come over here and check things out(he goes by XJ Firefighter on Jeepin), so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Jim. I live in Longview, Texas, about two hours east of Dallas. I'm a machinist by trade, building tools for the oilfield and both commercial and military aircraft structural components.
Now for the good stuff.
2008 Ram 2500HD SLT Lonestar, 6.7 BlueTec, 6speed auto with the manual shift controller, factory exhaust brake, and just about everything but the kitchen sink. It's all stock right now, but that will change soon.
This truck is my dailydriver/tow rig for my Jeeps. I'm still a newbie for the most part where diesels are concerned, so I'll be asking my share of questions from time to time too.
I'm looking forward to getting to know everybody and learn what I can.

Here's the new addition to the family. I took this pic with my phone, but I'll have some much better quality pics up in a day or so. When this picture was taken Friday, the truck had 48 miles on it.
