i have a manifold pressure map sensor go out on my cummins and i was reading on here can i clean it and make it work be cause there not a cheap part to replace the cheapest one i found was two hundred

yeah you can clean it, i think they say to use a carb cleaner...

If you use isopropl alcohol it will ensure that you dont leave a residue on the sensor and cause it to give false readings. I've heard of that happening before but havent experienced it myself.

i have a 2001 dodge cummins 2500 has edge programmer and afe air cleaner thats pretty much it its and six speedy i was running bio but it broke it so that was a spendy lesson

ouch i bet, but you can use brake cleaner works well hope thats what it is and not the sensor

its the sensor that the edge plugs in to right i now sound dumb but i can fix pretty much anything but i suck on a computer
