Newbie from North Texas

Just want to tell y'all hey! My project is a 1989 Ford Bronco Centurion Conversion. It's a four door, 3/4 ton, 4X4 with a 460, wanting to do a diesel conversion one day. My workhorse is an '06 2500 Dodge 4X4, 4 door Cummins. My problem truck is an '08 F350, crewcab, 4X4 Lariat with the :booo:wonderful:madd: 6.4 liter. JUNK!! That's the best word to decribe the truck. If you just want to sit and listen to the radio in dual-climate control, leather electric seats it is awesome. If you want to go anywhere you must first exit the vehicle then get in the Dodge. The damn thing regens about every 60 miles or so and about every third time it does it won't hardly go down the road, no power, smoking, shaking and pretty much falls on its face untill you pull over and shut it off for about 10 minutes. Pretty embarASSing that I spent $44,000 on it and you would think Ford would look at it that way too. They say that is :": normal operating procedure :":. They say the more miles I put on it the more it will regen. That gives me something to look forward to :ouch:. Told me I'm just going to have to deal with it :argh:. Anyhow, looking forward to being part of this site and seeing what every other diesel lover is up to.

WoW, that kinda sucks, I would suggest a cooler full of adult beverages, so you have something to do every once in a while while waiting to reset the regen. There is a good chance you will find some good info here. If not try the North Texas Powerstroke website.
Welcome to Diesel Bombers.

Welcome to the site. I haven't seen one of those Centurion conversions in a long time. You'll have to post some pics of it. I saw a magazine article recently about a guy who has two Broncos that he did diesel conversions on. One was a 7.3 and the other was a 6.0. The article said the 6.0 was an easier swap. I think an old 12 valve Cummins in the Centurion would be sweet. Where in North Texas are you? I'm about two hours east in Longview, but I spend quite a bit of time in the Dallas area.

Thanks - from Whitesboro - between Gainesville and Sherman on 377 :c:

Preciate the welcome - I tapped into the ice cold Shiner Bock and it has helped pass time while waiting several times :c:
