Welcome home. I think just about evrybody here came in from a different site looking for a friendlier place to hang out. We have just about everything you could want in a site, just need more members to keep it hoppin. For bein almost a month old I don't think we could have even hoped for this good a turn out though. So jump in and let us know more about ya. By the way, what was gltdr. I can't think of which chapter would be gl.

The Great Lakes Turbo Diesel Register. Started by Mr Steve StLawerence, A gent called DOC and others. Can not fully rember why it failed but I think it had something to do with covering too much area Illinois east to NewYork Incl Mich,Ind,Ohio,Ect.
Good bunch of guys but it just fizzled for lack of not being different enough from the TDR to have guys with little time to spaare join and maintain two almost identical clubs. And yes The TDR is a Pay as you go club not a informal chat site. jmho

Several of us are members there also. I've been a member for years now but have never made a single post. Just used it for the tech areas. The knowledge there is great, but as a site they tend to take it all way to serious for my taste. If I can't have fun, then why do it.

Agreed! could not have said it better.
The other two sites I haunt are the diesel garage and the Dodge cummins forum. I also go to the world wide radio forum and trucknet .com but not too often any more I plan to make this site my main site. so again thanks for letting me join.

Welcome to the site!!!

Great Lakes Turbo Diesel Register
Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin

GLTDR started Thunder In Muncie which is has grown to "Diesel Nationals" pretty good for a group of bombers. The group in its day started out and grew rapidly but due to members dropping out it fizzled away. Currently we are working to build it back up but it takes money to get a web-host and someone to manage the site. Steve StLaurent is primarily TDR so he doesnt have time to set it up but has offered to help.

On CF I couldnt do much since TDR was "competition" eventhough since CF was free there were more local members I coudlnt say "come join GLTDR" so I was put in a corner. So far the site is on back-burner but were steadily working on it.

Ian
GLTDR secretary
