New Guy

Hello. I have been to this site many times and have finally decided to join. I recently got a hold of a 2008 dodge ram 2500 mega cab with the new cummins 6.7. I am 23 years old and most of those years have been spent working in the family truck shop. I have had the pleasure to work on cummins, cat, detroit, and some international diesel engines. I am currenly a test mechanic for John Deere working on and field testing experimental equipment.

welcome :hi:

im also curious along with no problem about that 6.7. what mpg's do you get?

The new cummins 6.7 so far has been good to me, but with fuel milage it is too early to tell since the truck has less then 5000 miles. Its needs some more miles to really tell. It pulls great, few days ago i pulled a fully loaded peterbilt that chucked a driveline back to our shop with no problem. That new 6.7 grunted alittle but no problems. But to be honest i am waiting for then day when i start having problems with the DPF junk. From those i talk to and my drivng habbits i'm sure something is going to happen. What does the future look like for the DPF delete kits, are they a dependable solution or just a quick fix?
