Glad to be back!
This is a welcome and what should I expect from the NON-Staff members of Diesel Bombers. I started out as a Diesel Newbie on this site. The site and I pretty much started in the diesel world together back in March of 07, now a year and a half later I have two diesels (daily driver and a pulling truck), am sponsor of this site and spend quite a bit of time on here with my diesel brothers and sisters. So here are some things I have picked up along the way. Also, I hope the general membership will add in tips and/or tricks to help find some of the sites secrets for the newcomers to the site.
1. We are a family... This is just like your family at home. If you treat us with respect, we will do the same toward you. If you need help or advice and we are here for you. This includes help with your truck, life, or when you just need a shoulder to cry on when the world has kicked you in the Jimmy.
2. When you do something stupid... we are going to laugh at you... then help you fix it and make it better. Again, we are family... It's our job.
3. If you stick up a thread looking for opinions... expect to get them... Good bad or indifferent we are going to give it to you. Don’t get upset if someone tells you that an Idea you have wont work. Find out why they say this... Maybe they have been there and tried it. Maybe they have a little more knowledge in the field then you. On the other hand, they might not have a clue what they are talking about. It’s up to you to pick through it all... but for the most part, the general public will help you pick out these people.
4. We all will not get along all the time... Grow up, Get Over it and Move on... We are a very passionate group and sometimes stuff gets heated with all the opinions running around (right Eric )... I won’t say here what they say about opinions, if you don't know PM me and I'll fill you in.
5. Admin/Mods have a job to do... If you act stupid and break the rules... they will take care of you. Seen them do it. For the most part they are a lot more laid back then most other sites. But don't take advantage.
6. This site is not just for truck info. There are all sorts of funny pictures, stories, jokes and tons of other general things in other sections like the Off-topic, Show and Tell and in the Badlands. If you get a funny e-mail, read an interesting news story, or just had something happen to you that day by all means share it with us! Oh and speaking of the Badlands...
7. The Badlands... Get a password from Bomb Squad and don't come in unless you don’t get offended easily... Nuff said
8. For the most parts Monday Nights are chat nights. Come in, say hello and hang out. As the night goes on though things start to move from PG to closer to the R side of things though so be forewarned
9. Go into your User CP (left hand side near the top) and fill out as much as possible! This helps in a couple ways; first we know what kind of truck you have and what you have done to it for when you need advice, Second some of us just like to read about the people we become friends with.
10. Don't be Cocky... However badass you think you or your truck is there is someone out there bigger and badder. We will give you all the respect in the world until you quit giving it to us.
11. If you are reading a topic and don't understand what and why it was done or think you have a better idea - speak up.... If a comment or suggestion you make can save my engine and wallet I WANT TO HEAR IT!!! This goes back to the opinion thing again but with you on the other side so be respectful. As a matter of fact for good measure go up a little and read it again. I'll wait....

We live in NE Kentucky, right on the Ohio River. 101 acre farm, usually 60 acres in soybeans. We carved out 6 acres for the 2 car garage with an apartment upstairs. That is now connected via a walkway to our 3,400 sg.ft. 2 story log home. We bought the blueprints for the log home from a company in Chattanooga, TN and made a few mods.
We love our guns and target practice. Long guns and hand guns. KY is an open carry state so we do. We also have our concealed carry permits. Right now she is packing a 9 mm Walther PPS and mine is a Ruger 9 mil with a mag that holds 17 rounds. I have several Glock .40 & .45 cal and she has several Glock .40 cal. Two Smith & Wesson .45 cal wheel guns with western style holsters for when we get Cowboyed Up....
Retired last March from Hi-Tech with the exception of Dollar General HQ in Goodlettsville (Nashville) TN who informed me in no uncertain terms I would not be retiring from them. One of my largest clients for over 20 years, 120 in their IT Dept. but maybe 2 of them were ever in the Data Center. Every month I have to spec out big HP servers, Cisco switches and EMC storage. Over 13,000 stores now and over 129K employees. Combine with Tractor Supply Company, Brach's Confections, Regal Cinema and over in Memphis, Smith-Nephew Orthopaedic and you know I stayed busy. Made pretty decent $$'s for 31 years. ARMY 1973-1979 before the high tech biz.
Married to my chilhood sweetheart for 44 years now. We are happy and we live large. Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas and Colorado in the USA and Germany plus S. Korea in the ARMY. Wife came to Korea in 6 days and we lived off post in a mud hut for a whole year. At least in Germany we had 2 great apartments.

Hello, please help solve the problem. I from Russia , are a master in the service station. Drove the infinity fx30d repair. Does not start. The fuel pressure when running 170-180 bar. Pouring fuel from the return rail. Where to find the fuel pressure?? Checked the injectors, replaced the manifold, replaced the fuel pressure sensor. Leaving only the old regulator the fuel pressure. What to do? how to check?

That for the welcoming to the dieselbombers family. I can't wait to hear what everyone has to say about their trucks and what they have done to them. I have a lot of questions and can handle ridicule I have pretty thick skin. I can dish it out with the best of them but that's just guys and girls having a good time. My baby is a 2009 Dodge Mega Cab 2500. When I purchased my truck it didn't have any up grades except a hard tonna cover. Now it has a 2" leveling kit and I'm running 35s on Moto Metal rims. I put Bushwacker fender flares painted to match, window dampers,bug guard,and a Pioneer 3 din radio. Getting ready to put Mag Tech differential covers front and back and transmission pan. Smoked LED head and tail lights,tuner,deletes,exhaust,exhaust,cold air intake,intake horn,ARP head studs,lift pump, and injectors.

Well thanks for the very warm welcome Sure wasn't like Thanksgiving at the in laws. Seems like I've been wrenching all my life. Started out on aircraft for my Uncle Sam. Great training.Worked on bikes, boats,cars and lawnmowers, but never on a diesel I liked grease on my hands but money put me behind a desk and eventually into Open Heart Surgery. Lucky the Lord likes Idiots, obviously I survived.
Retired now I just bought my 2nd diesel. Never had to do anything to the first except change filters,oil and routine stuff, so I am still a novice to diesels. I expect to be listening a lot more than talking anyway. By the way, I've been married 58 years so don't worry about hurting my feelings. I married a Red Headed Irish Woman and after 58 years with her you ain't got a shot.
Looking forward to good times;

I am a BIG outdoors guy. ATV's, SxS's, horses, guns and pickups. We have 33 horses and 5 Super duties. (2) F-250, one is a King Ranch. Love that saddle leather. (3) F-350. 6.0, 6.2 and one 7.3 liter. Wife has a horse business, Double R Farm, LLC. I'm a Hi-Tech Redneck, I am a consultant and Data Center Architectect. I am also a 100% Disabled Viet Nam Veteran.

new member, first page was confusing at first, badlands and all not to good at getting around, been watching this site got some good old advice, First diesel ever owned, course it had to be a 6.5 97 k3500 Dully one you have to learn about fast and in hurry. well here to learn, be nosy.
