Head gaskets on diesel engine

Hello everybody,
I have recently landed a job as a tow truck opporator in a fairly new buisnes with a 98 international and a Chevy 1ton (gas) we are looking at a 81 GMC 4500 Diesel wrecker with a blown head gasket . Is changing head gaskets on a diesel different than a gas engine
