Just sold my 02' SD that was fully functional except for minor upgrades. Replaced with a "Rust Free, ish" 96 OBS. Always wanted an OBS. Now I'm digging deeper into knowledge of the 7.3. The journey has lead me here.
So far here is a summary.
Purchased off craigslist with only my dad (long haul trucker) looking at it.
Drove it home from south of St.Louis to Wisconsin. Blinking OD light when I got home.
Tranny rebuilt, new glow plugs installed and she starts everytime :choochoo:.
White smoke for a bit when cold start and bucking around 45 MPH and 60 MPH when I get in the throttle, next stop. Change UVCH and external plugs. If that doesn't fix it, she goes to a shop for more accurate diagnosis of the injectors. Should do that first but I like throwing parts at things and trying to fix it myself. Until it's apparent it might be a big ticket fix.

So I continue on with my second Superduty.

Can't say I'll give a lot of expert advice.
