My Diesels

I have a 97 f250 extended cab 7.3 diesel with a John Wood Tranny and two tranny coolers on it. It has been pulling firewood to Vegas from Panaca, NV for about 10years. It has 435,000 miles on it and nothing other than starters and alternators and small stuff like that has been done to it. At 230,000 I put a John Wood tranny in it even though the old tranny was still doing OK. I just wanted the security of having the JW tranny for my own mental well being, and it was one of the best moves I ever made. I have had the truck since it had 80,000 on it and have been changing the oil with Rotella 15W-40 and a FL1995 Motorcraft oil filter every 3,000 miles. Seem to have worked OK. Just bought a 2002 f350 crew cab 7.3 diesel and immediately put a 31 row 6.0 cooler on it at 132,000. It is the Lariat model and I love it and am now using it to pull my loads of firewood to Vegas. I pull a 20ft gooseneck with 2 axels loaded with 5 cords of firewood. We also own a boat rental business at a Nevada State Park and since the reservoir ices over in the winter we close up in November and start delivering firewood around Nevada until we open the boats again in April. That's about it here. Thanks, Dennis
