Diesel Bombers - Hey Guys new to the forum!!!:)

hey guys hows it goin wanted to say hello and maybe meet some of you Bombers! Im new, little to no diesel knowledge but looking to change that ASAP. haha, umm i'd like to say im not currently or ever have been a diesel owner, but found myself in a predicament with a new toy and wanted to do something radical (as im not really one to leave something ordinary). So as i picked up a new toy which btw is a '83 ford f150 long bed 4 spd, 300 inline 6. well suddenly I have found the need to roll some coal lol wanted to keep it all ford as i am some what a purist and an 8cyl would be preferred i wanted to ask some opinions on what type of motor i should put in my vehicle, its going to mostly be used for towing, trails offroading, etc... but yea, give me some bullet proof motor ideas that will be somewhat easy to drop in, and hope to enjoy my stay!:rocking:
