Diesel Bug
 

Hello:
After retiring as a Plant engineer I got interested in transplanting small diesel engines into garden tractors. Yanmar, Lister-Petters, and Kubota engines. After having done several of these next summer I would like to transplant a Mercedes diesel into a 2wd Pickup. At that time I will be 63 and figure if I'm going to do it I better get at it. Hope to pick up some information on the best years of engines to use.

Sorry for being so slow to add my thanks. I just notice the thanks button on the lower right corner. I'm in the process of installing a Yanmar diesel into a Bolens Gt2000 right now and had it running for the first time yesterday. These are large gardens tractor that come with power steering, two spd. hydro, dual hydraulics, and cruise control :tu: I did one two years ago and installed a loader on it and use it constantly. This one will be for mowing duties. I would like to complete one or two more before summer. Keeps this old guy out from under mothers feet. :w2:
