I am a crane operator, for a sign company, and I purchased a large fishing boat this year, the boat was a little over the towing capability of my Yukon Xl.
Not wanting to have a large note, or insurance payment for something that I wasent planning to drive but every other weekend, I dove into the used market. I purchased a standard cab 1996 dodge diesel 4 wheel drive, with the 360 12 valve cummings with the 5 speed manual. It was used as a gooseneck truck for hauling hay from NC. to NJ. so it has 200,000 highway miles on it. I purchased it @ auction (mistake) it sounded great and drove fine, until you shifted into overdrive (witch could not be done in the auction parking lot) then the grinding noises began so right @ $ 2,900 dollars spent on the trans, and transfer case rebuild. I am very happy with my first diesel. oh and my Yukon well it has been moved to the back of the driveway as I so enjoy driving the dodge!:tu: |
