just bought a dmax

i just recently bought a 2009 Chevy 2500HD crew cab with an 8 ft bed with 20K miles on it. I originally had no intention on buying a duramax but after going to look at 3 6.7L Dodges and having them being sold right before i got to the dealership or as i got there, i knew this was a sign of some kind that i shouldnt be getting a dodge. so i eventually found a truck to test drive. a 2008 dodge cummins with a 6-speed manual big horn edition. the truck was beautiful, but after driving it 100ft i was ready to turn around and park it back at the dealership. there was so much lack of power, it rode like it had no suspension at all. now dont get me wrong i love the cummins motor, i practically grew up in my grandfathers 94 12 valve. but the issue i had was the dodge part of the truck. i know many people with dodges and they always have issues with the truck (not the motor). also i had never riden/driven a 6.7L cummins but i was assuming there would be no significant difference in power output. even with the added emissions bullcrap. but i was sadly mistaken, and i didnt want to get anything older than an 08 truck as i knew id be paying on it for about 6 years. so they had an 07 duramax in the lot that i test drove the cummins in so i was curious on how they drove and decided to take it for a spin. as soon as we pulled out on to the road, i fell in love. the ride, the power of the motor, and the smooth transition between the gears with the Allison, and i was starting to like the look of the chevys. so after finding out that the dealership wouldnt come off the price ($36K for a truck thats 5 years old with 80k miles on it, i dont think so) we found the truck i now have. on the test drive i noticed even more power out of the LMM than the LBZ even with the more restrictive DPF on there. i was liking the newer body style as well. so me and my dad talked the dealer down to $33,000, (from the original $37k) and i took the deal. i personally think i got a hell of a deal on the truck. it wasnt fully loaded but it had the Z71 package and a few other things and it was also GM certified since it only had 20K miles on it. my dad was happy to see me get it since he's a GM guy and we're practically almost an all GM family. i look forward to doing some mods to the truck especially taking that damn DPF off there. if anyone has any tips or anything i should be aware of with the LMM i would surely appreciate it
