Coolant Flush info needed
 

I am wondering - if I am in dire need to flush a coolant system on a dozer, and I'm in a remote location. Does anyone one know if I can use refrigerant flush instead of coolant flush? I don't know the comparison in ingredients, but I thought I'd get another confirmation on that. I don't want to use it and then find out it eats through seals, or any other rubber components.

Use the coolant flush. How many hours are on the dozer? Can you get by with just blowing the radiator out till you get it back to the shop?

Yeah it's got 1310/hrs and I did blow it out and run water through it, but the inside of the radiator still has black crust in it. When I ran water through it the coolant was black draining as well.
